Investigation meetings
These take place at the early stages of a potential disciplinary process and are intended to find out the facts of what has happened. One of our consultants conducts the investigation and compiles a report indicating whether there is a disciplinary case to answer. We then consider what allegations need to be formally put to the employee.

Disciplinary hearings
Our consultants can conduct this meeting for you. We will provide a detailed report that balances the evidence, justifies our findings, and includes recommendations as to the sanctions that we deem most appropriate.

Grievance meetings
Our consultants can conduct this whole process, or support you in doing so. They will meet with the employee, conduct all further investigations and write a detailed report on their findings and recommendations.

Appeal hearings (disciplinary or grievance)
It is often difficult for a dental practice to find a person that is impartial to conduct an appeal, particularly where the original decision-maker is a practice owner. The fact that we are experienced in these matters and provide an external service ensures an impartial hearing.

A consultant can conduct mediation meetings with employees at your practice that may be in dispute with you, or with each other. We have professionally accredited mediators and a high level of success in resolving employee disputes, helping you to avoid time-consuming, formal grievance procedures.

This generally involves consultation meetings with staff about potential redundancy situations. One of our experienced and diplomatic consultants can plan and conduct the consultation meetings with you or for you. Consultants can also conduct at-risk group meetings and individual meetings.

We can also review a wide range of business-to-business supplier contracts. These include equipment services, laboratory services, waste services, cleaning services, communications, recruitment agency, advertising services and contracts with patients.

Our consultants can also review outdated staff handbooks and polices, and update documentation after TUPE transfers.

Our consultants will hold meetings to explore swift and amicable resolutions to employee conflicts. This could be during a formal process that has already started or when a formal process has not yet commenced. These unbiased discussions can be invaluable because when conducted in the right way, a settlement agreement will prevent the employee from bringing a tribunal claim and can resolve matters quickly.

We take care of capability procedures when an employee is on long-term sick leave with little to no chance of returning to their role in the near future.

The presence of an objective consultant can be reassuring for the practice owner and the employee who has been absent for a long time. Our consultants will write a detailed report on their findings. They may also recommend adjustments to aid the employee back to work or advise on capability dismissal outcome.
