Your BDA account
To get the most out of our website, you need an online account with us.
Why do I need a BDA account?
With an account, you will be able to:
- Book onto our events
- Access our popular CPD Hub
- Get an indicative quote for BDA Indemnity (for GDC registered dentists only)
- Sign up to receive news and information from us and our partners.
All dental professionals and students can create an account, regardless of whether or not they are members with us.
BDA members have access to additional online content and services, including our expert advice, useful downloads, library, and the BDJ Portfolio - alongside the other benefits of membership.
Creating and managing your account
Creating an account takes less than five minutes. All information you provide is kept strictly confidential and handled in accordance with GDPR. Once your account is verified, you can login to our site and manage your details and communications preferences at any time, via the My BDA portal.
BDA account FAQs
Your online registration could fail for a few reasons.
- Your email is already in use: Your email is already registered with us; you will need to login or reset your password
- We have no record for your GDC number: Our systems have yet to receive your GDC number from the official register, please email membership@bda.org or call 020 7563 4550 for help
- We already hold information associated with your details. We take data privacy very seriously – if you see this error message, you have likely given us some personal data in the past (for instance at an event), which should only ever be accessed by you.
Please call our membership team on 020 7563 4550 and they can help verify your identity and get your account set up.
If you are receiving an "Invalid username or password" error message it could be down to the following:
- Wrong email address: Ensure you are using the email associated with your BDA account. Could you have signed up with a different one?
- Spelling errors or gaps: Double-check your email and password and ensure there are no spaces before or after your email address.
- Verification email expired: You must verify your account within 24 hours of receiving the verification email which is sent out during the registration process. If you have missed the verification window, please request a new link via the expired email.
- Password reset required: If you have not reset your password since the current version of our site launched (November 2023), please do so. Please note that the email expires within 24 hours.
Please note that it can take up to 20 minutes for the new password to filter through the system and allow you to login.
Other issues might be:
- Spelling errors or gaps: Double-check your password and ensure there are no spaces before or after.
- Browser autofill: Make sure your browser is not using outdated details. Try typing the password directly into the password field instead of using autofill.
If the problem persists, please email our website team at digital@bda.org for further assistance.
Please note that it might take up to 20 minutes for the email to reach your inbox, depending on your email provider.
- Search your email inbox for "contact@orders.bda-mail.org"
- Check the spam/junk folder
- Add "contact@orders.bda-mail.org" to a safe sender list and reset your password again
- Is this the correct email address? Reset emails are only triggered if there is an account match. If you are unsure whether your email is in our system, try entering it on the registration page. If it exists, you will see an error message confirming this.
If none of the above works, please email digital@bda.org with a subject line “Reset password issue”, detailing the following:
- Your GDC number or BDA membership number
- The email address you wish to use for your account.
We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
You can manage your communications preferences (email, post, and SMS) in the Account section of My BDA.
In order to receive emails related to specific branch and section events, please ensure you've ticked the branches and sections of interest to you in the Workplace section of My BDA.
If you are no longer receiving emails that you used to get, or are still receiving emails you have told us you do not want, please email marketing@bda.org with the subject line “Possible BDA email issue” and a brief description of the issue you are having.
