Existing, returning and new Vocational Training (VT) trainers can now apply for the 2025-6 training cycle via the Dental Portal.
There have been significant revisions to the recruitment process this year to reduce the risk of trainers being unable to match. In addition, the training year will now commence in September 2025, replacing the traditional August start.
The application window for new trainers closes at midday, Friday 6 December.
Existing and returning trainer applications must be made by midday, Monday 27 January. Please note that the definition of a returning trainer has been revised this year. If you have not delivered vocational training in the 2024-5 cycle, or the 2023-4 cycle, you will now be regarded as a new trainer, and therefore required to submit your application by Friday 6 December.
