Training up our Accredited Representatives to support their colleagues

Participants are now better equipped to help with a variety of workplace issues.

March saw 13 dentists from across the UK come together for our accredited representative training programme, a three-day course designed to equip workplace reps with the knowledge and confidence to support colleagues on everything from employment rights to grievance procedures.

This was the first time we took a blended training approach, using a combination of on-demand resources in our CPD Hub and an in-person training programme. Topics covered included trade union recognition, NHS workplace procedures, and the Equality Act. The course involved hands-on scenario exercises that brought the theory to life.

One participant said:

"Though the training was intense, it was packed with useful, relevant information. I really thought the case discussions were useful to apply the information presented."

Further on-demand training is being planned for later in the year.
